About Maa Baglamukhi
Maa Baglamukhi, also known as Pitambara Devi, is one of the ten Mahavidyas—powerful forms of the Divine Mother in Hinduism. She is widely revered as the goddess of strength, protection, and victory over enemies. Her name means “The One Who Seizes the Tongue,” symbolizing her power to paralyze negative speech, harmful intentions, and evil forces.
Devotees worship her to gain success in legal battles, debates, and to overcome challenges posed by enemies or negativity. She is often depicted in golden-yellow attire, seated on a throne, holding the tongue of a demon, representing her ability to control harmful speech and thoughts.
Yellow is also the color of knowledge and energy, making it sacred in her worship. Maa Baglamukhi’s sadhana (spiritual practice) is considered highly effective, especially during times of crisis or conflict. Her divine grace helps destroy illusions, silence opposition, and grant peace and confidence. Worshipping her brings strength, inner clarity, and divine protection.
