Rudra Abhishek and Maha Yajna
Date: 26th May 2025
The foundation started its first event for 2025 with the blessing of Mahadev at Ganga Talao. It was also the first time we organised a MahaYaj at Ganga Talao where devotees from all parts of the island blessed us with their presence. Mahaprasad was also served after the completion of Yajna.
Why Ganga Talao?
Ganga Talao is important for Hindus because it is considered a sacred lake spiritually connected to the Ganges River in India, which is the holiest river in Hinduism. It is a major pilgrimage site in Mauritius, especially during Maha Shivaratri, when thousands of devotees visit to offer prayers to Lord Shiva and seek blessings. The lake and its surroundings are home to several temples and deities, making it a central place for worship, reflection, and religious gatherings for the Hindu community.
